We all know Tata motors has unveiled a unique product, a coupe suv in the mid budget segment. Tata has a great history of creating new segments and back in 2008 Tata did this with indigo cs and today its one of most preffered segment by the family persons.
Tata has now revealed the engine specifications as well . It is rumoured that all the powertrain options come with a 6 speed Manual transmission and a 7 speed DCA, as Tata calls it.Chances of this DCT unit being sourced from Punch powertrain, Inc. are high. Tata Curvv will also be available in EV avatar and this will be the first powertrain option that Curvv will be available in , followed by ICE options later.
Below are the engine options that were revealed by Tata motors.
Petrol : 1.2L tgdi with 125 bhp and 225 NM of torque .
Petrol : 1.2L Mpi with 118 bhp and 170 NM of torque.
Diesel : 1.5L CRAIL with 113 bhp and 260 NM of torque.

Curvv, being the second coupe along with Basalt from Citroen,anticipations for Curvv are high in the Indian market. Set to be launched on August 7th, Curvv is expected to shift the sales from regular SUVs in its segments to itself when launched.
